Red Vintage Stove

This was my Christmas gift from my hubby this year. He says it is for my second childhood. It is a Little Chef oven. I have a kitchen built in the 50's with original cabinets and tile and even my oven is original. I thought this would be such a cute retro-vintage addition.
Little Chef stoves were made starting in the 1940s by Tacoma Metal Products. Here's a description I found online:

Tacoma Metal Products "Little Chef" stoves were made of aluminum, because it was less expensive and more plentiful than steel, and came in various models. The deluxe model had two ovens and baked, the least expensive model did not bake. "Little Chef" stoves were distributed nationwide, and advertised in the Saturday Evening Post, Life and American Home. View of Tacoma Metal Products "Little Chef", miniature electric range.

They even had little cookbooks. How cute is that cover?

I found this little wax pie at my favorite shop.
I love the red and white.

Now I just need to find some cute old cookware to go with it.

I just love that little stove. Had one that was Pink when I was small. Wish I still had it. I think it would be so much fun to display it for all seasons and Oh how my grandkids would really love to play with it. Thanks for sharing, Vicky

Wow! I am so jealous! I should try to find one of those for myself. I also live in an original 1951 kitchen - tile, cupboards, floor. Sadly the original stove is gone and so are the lights and faucets. My mom will be remodeling her little 1954 cottage and maybe I'll snag a few authentic things from her.

Happy New Year!

I have a little stove alot like yours, and I bet it's a Little Chef too. Love yours! Mine belonged to my sister first, then I played with it, and then my daughter and lots of other little kids too. Now I store some vintage kitchen towels in the oven, and I don't think I'd ever part with it!
Happy REDnesday and Happy New Year!

I love your stove, just my color. I have 3 of them in my collections, one is from the 30's
and it's green, the other two are red and white.
One of mine is very similar to yours. I do have
the cookware to go with them also. My hubby
tells me I am going through another childhood
because I collect toys, I think I just never
grew up....LOL. I am 61.:)

How cute is that stove! It reminds me of the metal play stove I had as a girl -- my little stove even had a dummy plug! Scary :)

That stove is adorable! My daughter, Michele bought me a cute pink fridge for Christmas. I'm going to put sprinkles and cake candles in it.
