Changed up my dining table display to a collection of warm yellows and all things bees. Our yard here is abuzz with all our citrus in bloom. Some spring bee decor was in order.
I found this sweet little pillow on a clearance rack at a favorite haunt.
You can't have bees without a bee skep. You can find one here.
A sweet little watering can holds golden flowers.
I love the battery operated flicker candles available now. Safe to burn when you have a little one in the house and they last forever.

ReplyDeleteI love your collection of bee stuff. It all looks so good together. I looked at your kitchen posts, and it is so cute! I really like the red.
ReplyDeleteHi,
ReplyDeleteI'm your newest follower. I saw your posts on Tablescape Thursday. I have a bee skep displayed on an old farm style table in my kitchen; I really love it. And I have to tell you -- I hunted for months to find one. They're hard to find around here for some reason. I also agree with you about the strange home decor styles at the moment (ugh!). I just took a tour of your 50's kitchen and it is just charming. I'll have to share this with my parents; they would love it. I think it's so neat that everything is original.
I didn't do a tablescape this week because my son is home from college on Spring Break, but I am planning one for next Thursday for sure. I really enjoy doing St. Patrick's Day tables.
Enjoy your weekend.
Denise

ReplyDeleteI've been waffling about whether or not to buy an old Mottahedeh brass bee skep that I think would look amazing as a centerpiece for a tablescape. I think that you just made up my mind. Thank you for sharing your wonderful design. Cherry Kay

ReplyDeleteLove your sunny yellow vignette! I have always loved bee skeps. I had a large one out in the garden for years. It finally fell apart. A couple of years ago I bought another while vacationing at Williamsburg. Haven't dared take it outside yet. Love it too much! I live in UT. It is known as the beehive state.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Jann

ReplyDeleteYour bee skep vignette is darling.
ReplyDeleteGood idea with the flameless candles.I have four with timers which I like a lot. I do prefer real candles, but sometimes they just aren't safe or practical. Cute post.

ReplyDeleteso darling~
ReplyDeleteI love and appreciate bees because we garden so I adore your bee display. Love so many aspects such as the skep, the cute little pillow, the little watering can, etc. I am so envious that you can grow citrus. Our winters are too cold here, but I have considered keeping one in a pot and overwintering it in a storage building.
ReplyDeleteBeing a total city girl, I had never heard the term "bee skep." I Googled it, and now I have learned something new today thanks to your fun tablescape! Very nice...and perfect for the Wild About Mother Nature party!
