Blogging thoughts

Why do all the good blogs die? Well, not really as most of the blogs I love are still here and thriving but it is always a little sad when a blog you love and are attached to decides to end. There are so many reasons I guess; time, family, health, hurt feelings maybe from another blog. Who knows all the reasons. But is it pathetic that it makes me a little sad to see a blog end? Does it mean I spend way too much time reading blogs? Maybe. Funny how we don't really know each other but we get attached to certain blogs and especially the bloggers.
Blogging is a very unselfish thing when you think about it. You are spending time to make something for other people you don't even know. I have been touched by kindness unexpected and helpfulness generously given, and so how can I help but get attached. Maybe I too will tire of this blog and decide to leave. Nothing is forever right? Thanks to all those out there that have showed me kindness and patience with my questions and especially for letting me share in your blog. I can't wait to see what is new on your pages each day and it brings me joy. A big thanks from me to you.
P.S. I am not going anywhere. I am still mindlessly blogging away and enjoying every minute of it.

I know what you mean... it's much better when a blog just posts adhoc, as and when it suits the writer... nothing worse than the finality of 'This is my last post'... don't burn your bridges I say... we are all still here, when you're ready. Lx

I'm so glad it's not you. There are times I have to back off a bit and take a few days off and Don always appreciates those...lol...I'm not sure what would bring me to shut it down but never say never. I leave one Gwennys Place in my google reader in case she comes back. Take care.

Been there, done that...LOL! For one or all of the reasons you listed.

Just started a new one yesterday and would love for you to stop by!

I wonder if it's the same blog that I'm missing terribly. She said it's only a blog break, but I'm hoping she'll be back. I don't think it's silly at all to be sad when a blog you love comes to an end. We become attached to these women who share so much of themselves, and when we visit their blogs, it's like a little ray of sunshine!

I know exactly what you mean. When I realized that Once in a Blue Moon had been taken off line, I felt as if I'd lost a good friend. Of course, I hadn't. Jain was still around and blogging through her other blogs, but I missed it. She is bringing it back. Yea! ~ sarah

I know what you mean! I'm in a bit of shock over one of my favorites, but I don't think blogging should ever be an obligation and maybe it felt that way to her. I don't know. It's like anything, really, appreciate it while it's here and nothing goes on forever. Well, I'm glad to hear you're planning on sticking around for a good long time! Me too! :)
