Adding some retro items to my Retro Kitchen Decor.
I am trying to gather some 50s retro items for my kitchen mini makeover and remembered this was way up in the cupboard and is I am sure, decades old as it was here with the house when we bought it.
Perfect item to hold snacks for the kids. Now it holds our K-Cups for our Keurig.
Oh yeah look at those red knobs. I am on the hunt for more red and turquoise items to go with the funky tiles in my kitchen.
I can't wait to paint in here and come up with even more retro kitchen decorating ideas, but it is number three on the painting hit list so who knows when we will make the final transformation to my funky 50s kitchen. Until then I shall continue gathering.
1. Paint - Use vintage colors like cool blues and red, vintage greens and yellows.
2. Appliances - Cool old looking retro appliances like my old port hole oven, add an instant vintage look.
3. Curtains - Nothing is more vintage than some colorful curtains. Before blinds and shutters, everyone had curtains in their kitchens.
4. Accessories and Furniture - Adding vintage dishes and retro looking furniture will finish off your vintage retro decorating ideas. All the vintage items in our kitchen are such great conversation pieces.
