Beauty and Cheap Meat

What a day yesterday. I pulled out of my driveway six times yesterday. So much for conserving gas but it was they way it had to be. Kids to school, doctors appointments, smog the car, grocery store, etc. Anyway, I did combine one trip with another and hit the store on my way home. Had to take a few minutes in the morning before all the kids got up to go pick some pink carnations from the garden. They were my mother's favorite so I will always have them in my garden.

My standing Wednesday lunch date with my college age daughter at Chipotle was a bright spot in my day. The leftovers were quickly gobbled up by  my little one out on the patio. She loves spicy and eats every bite of my leftovers. She is sporting her new shades from her Easter basket.

Had to take a few minutes and water all my lovelies in pots. They always make me smile.

Took some time to smell the roses.

But the most beautiful sight of all was the mark down ground turkey I snagged from the store. Retail $4.79 per package. Marked down it was 2.29. Bought eight packages of ground and turkey burgers. Along with the other meat I have been snagging at bargain prices, my freezer is full. You know I was excited. Have to save where I can.

That pink rose is so beautiful with all the different shades. Speaking of shades....your little one is so cute.

I just had to check out this post, with "cheap meat" in the title! I hear the price of meat is supposed to take a big hike, so we definitely have to grab it when it's cheap. Your flowers are lovely, but are no match for the little cutie in the shades!

Great way to save! We always try to buy the meat when it is marked down. The carnations are beautiful! I love the smell they have too. Looks like you are having a good spring! I love those dinner dates with children, so fun and special.

Your kiddo could not be any cuter in those glasses. I buy marked down meat like that too and both my freezers stay full but that's the way to do it!
