Just What We Needed

I cannot begin to tell you how nice my weekend with my hubby was. He has worked on a job out of town for seven months and only makes it home for a night or two a week. It is wearing on us. We don't like to be apart. He took a few days off and came home to us and we just had such a wonderful time. Nothing special.
Just family time.
My little one filled her rain boots to water the plants.

We of course went to the nursery.

But mostly we did a lot of this...

And moved at a snails pace.

And I enjoyed just watching this. Dad and Q playing in her kitchen.

Girls if your hubby throws his socks on the floor everyday and you complain about it, stop and pick them up as gift to him. It means he is there with you. I want to pick up more dirty socks. Oh, I can't wait until this job wraps up.
I am actually off to spend a few days with him at his hotel since it is spring break here and the kids won't need me as much. Thank goodness for grandparents.

Did you say your daughter filled her rain boots and watered the flowers? I love it. I want to that. So cute. Hugs, Ginger

  3. So true. Savor the moments as much as possible. The alternative is not a happy thought.

  4. So glad you are able to spend a few days with your honey. Sometimes we just need that, right? And grandparents are a blessing. Especially if they are able to take over for a little while. BTW - I love your garden gnome!

  6. This is special - the few times my husband and I have had to be separate were difficult - I don't sleep well when he's not here - you're right - let the socks fall where they may - he's there! Such a lovely sight with your little girl - brings back memories of when ours were that small - so precious - thank you for sharing this with A Return to Loveliness,
    God Bless,
    Kathy

  8. I've been there, so I get it. My husband is a truck driver and for a while he was away from home a lot. Now he's home every night. Enjoy your time together!

  13. Oh, this post warmed my heart! I am so glad that you had some special family time. So many families around the nation are going through this...seperated because of economic reasons or the military. No doubt you have a strong marriage as it is based on the word of God.
The Lord will see you through this time and bless you in incredible ways.
