Our Salad Was So Fresh Last Night That...

...half way through dinner, my daughter looked over at the salad bowl and informed us all that there was a tiny caterpillar on the side of the bowl. Eww! and gross! were the sounds heard at that moment. I told my daughter who was in charge of the salad, that when she cut the lettuce from the garden, to rinse very thoroughly for critters. Now maybe she will do a better job next time.

Now that's fresh! Lucky you, already picking from the garden. Just bought tomatoes and basil to plant this week! The trees have just bloomed so I'm trying to figure out where the best sun will be for my little vegetable garden this year.

Many years ago, when a server in a restaurant, I served a garden salad, and as I set it in front of the customer, a green frog jumped off the plate. After we got over our shock, we had the whole restaurant chasing that darn thing!!! I never laughed so hard. And luckily, it was a regular customer, who also found the humor!!

oooh ick! On my honeymoon in Cancun, I was enjoying the extra pulpy fresh squeezed OJ when I noticed that some of the pulp was moving on its own. Not a big fan of pulpy OJ now.

Hahahaha, that is funny. I'll bet she does a WAY better job next time, lol. I have to wash each individual leaf of our lettuce. The sand is terrible and I can't stand to crunch on lettuce and have sand be the main ingred. Have a great week!
