Warm Weather

Summer container garden.
Some would say it was down right hot here today. 96 to be exact. After a day of taking my little one to the park and to feed the ducks in the pond, running kids around to classes, I have been dragging all day. I sat in the shade of the patio this afternoon watching my littlest play in the water.
The garden is thirsty already.

With this kind of heat the pansies won't last much longer.

Time for the hot weather flowers to go in. Zinnias and petunias are my favorite flowers of the summer.

  3. Well it is warm but by no means hot 60's-70's
our plants are just starting. Zinnia's are just my favorite flower. They last all summer and make a great cutting flower. Rain for today so the plants will shoot up.

  4. Yep! It's time to "pull up them pansies" as we say here in Alabama. Although it is in the low forties/high thirties this morning. It felt like an Arctic blast when I let the puppy out this morning. *brrrrrrrrrr*

  5. Beautiful flowers. My zinnias never do too well. Not sure what I do to them to kill them. Petunias and vincas always last throughout the summer for me as long as I water them twice a day. Supposed to hit 100 today, ick.

  6. 96! Holey, moley! We're still wearing jackets here. But this seems to be a very cold spring for us. Your pics are beautiful!

  7. Wow, you can have some of our water- we were flooded in and even the school bus couldn't get over the bridge to bring the littlest diva home two days ago- wish I could send you some of the water. Our weather vacillates from 40-s to upper 80s lately, often in a single day.

I love pansies, they are so very arrogant and cheerful to me with their showy, happy little faces.

I found your link on Ricki's blog and am so glad I did, you have a lovely blog, I'm following now.
