A Summer's Eve

Decided to light my patio candles and enjoy the waning light of the day.

Our Lady of Guadalupe Rose. She is now in part shade so she doesn't bloom much for me. Sure enjoy her when she does.

These bloom the color of sunset.

The vines are still green and  have almost covered my fountain. Soon the leaves will turn and fall to the patio.

I have not been planting much because of the heat but I am sure itching to get to the nursery and buy some new flowers for my pots.
Have a wonderful weekend everyone!

Hi Elaine,
Your patio is beautiful. Isn't it nice to sit out in the evening-so peaceful. Love all your flowers-mine are showing wear from this dry summer. Time to buy some Mums.

That rose is stunning. I love the color. Such a lovely and restful place to sit and relax. I am so ready for fall also, I want some new flowers. Everything is dead around here, just tooooooooooooo hot. Hugs, Marty

It looks beautiful Elaine. The evenings have been just perfect lately. I think I'll head out this afternoon, too.

Elaine, the rose is beautiful. I can see why you enjoy the blooms. The "sunset" lantana is a favorite of mine. Last year I planted the white and loved it, but the multi colored is by far my favorite. Have a fabulous weekend.

I won't be planting any more until after the move. Things are pretty burned up here now. I love the vine across the fountain.

I've never thought of lighting candles on the patio..but that sounds so soothing. I oughta try.

Happy weekend! We're loving California weather, at least here by the SF bay. Quite cool.

I too am waiting for cooler weather to get some new plants for my pots also. It has been way too hot to grow anything, except for cacti. Would love to be able to spruce up the yards before family from NY comes in late September. Could you tell me what type of plant your last photo is? What a beautiful color!
