Was There a Weekend?

I am serious. Was there a weekend? My hubby had to work all weekend and I didn't go anywhere but church. Not very exciting. I stayed home and wiped a few things down. My hands are proof. Why don't I wear gloves? I do love staying home though as you get so much more done. I did some re-arranging here and there. Nothing big. I will have to share in a day or so.

How's the kitchen re-painting going? Anything new there? If you wait too long you'll just have to scrub the walls again.

I go out so rarely, I never know when I wake up what day of the week it is!

Sometimes it is nice to be home when it is quite, you can think and create!

We had a quiet weekend also. Sat around and did a lot of reading although I did some much needed mopping. We never made it to church as Joe was so tired...we considered it a vacation day. We do not go on real vacations as we have a little vacation house we stay at every weekend (we are blessed and know it).

Not only do I find myself wondering if there was a weekend, but if there was a summer?????
Yikes! Time tends to fly!

We were running around the whole weekend...buying wedding gifts for the weddings we have in the next couple weeks...plus lots of other errands...I don't mind when I have Don for company doing these things...but time sure flew by!

I love to have a couple of back to back days to really get a lot accomplished. I could sure use that now! I was in Kohl's earlier today and got all excited to see all of the fall towels and stuff out......oh la la....love me some Fall!!

I feel that way a lot of time....my husband works Wed, Thur, Fri and Sat. He takes the car...I am stuck! The thing with that is that when he is off of work...I want to go, he wants to stay home! Can't win!!!

Like Gail said above, my weekend was a whirlwind! The only time I had at home was Saturday morning. Sometimes it's nice just to stay home and have some quiet time and to putter. :-)

My husband and I are retired, and it seems like everyday is a Saturday. We keep asking each other, "what day is it." Regardless of what day it is, we sure do enjoy each other's company! We are so thankful to have this time together.

Our youngest son got married Saturday night. So for me the weekend flew by. We were very Busy Bee's! So fun though, and everything turned out lovely!
