Happy Labor Day!

I hope those of you in the states enjoy this Labor Day holiday. I woke to a wonderful surprise of wind and rain. No one else was awake so I made coffee and went and sat on my front porch to just enjoy the cool breeze and the smell of the rain. My flags will stay up until after 9/11. Then they will be tucked away until next year.

Nothing like a few quiet minutes to oneself. I think I get such a kick out of any kind of weather because we get no weather here. Just winter rain and not enough for me. Rainy days are one of my all time favorite things in life.

Good morning! No rain here, but you could smell it in the air, so I know it wasn't far off. I too love a rainy day like no other!!! We are so alike!!

Good morning to you. :o)
Those quiet moments alone are heavenly.
I too can hardly wait for cooler days and
all the glory of autumn.
Your fall planting is so pretty.
And I hope your sweet little one
is feeling much better.
Sincerely. Trish

It is very cool and gloomy here in KY. Seems as though fall is making an early entrance.

Like your blog—am following.

What a wonderful way to start a day :)
We are working on projects around here....yippee! Two of the kids are off from college today and have kicked in to help me get some projects done. I'm sooo grateful!
Hope your day is awesome!

I so agree with you about the weather here in Southern California. I love the rain. It is my absolutely favorite times when we have lots of rainy days in a row. I am always wishing for more.
I even have a CD of rain falling, I used to play it a lot in our hot Summers.

Hope you are having a Happy Blue Monday.
Thank you for your visit.

A pleasant morning indeed - lucky you.
I awoke to the rain during the night and listened for far too long. Missing a little sleep was worth it.

Good for you Elaine. I love an early morning rain, we actually had one also. It's finally cooled down. Saturday it was 102 degrees and today in the seventies! Hip Hip Hooray! I pray it stays for a bit! Love your flags!

Ummmmmm I think the state of Alabama has had enough rain today to share with the entire state of California. Want some? ;P
