Mums the Word

I snuck out today while the little patient was sleeping to run an errand and stop by the nursery for some fall color. Oh guess what? The mums are out. Nothing makes me happier and sigh louder than the sight of large pots of mums. I bought two but they were such a good price I may go back for more.

I picked up purple lobelia and orange mini zinnias to pot up some new color. No pictures as my time has pretty much been taken up with taking care of the little one.
Anyway isn't this porch just the epitome of fall? I heart it. I will snap some pics of the fall touches soon.

Mums are beautiful! I'm putting off buying them for a little while, because it is still so hot here. It's going to be 100 today! Hard to think of fall. Can't wait to see the pics of your fall decorating though.

I love putting Mums on the front porch in fall...I have two plants fromlast year in pots...the funny thing is they bloomed again about a month ago...I cut them back and stuck them in the shade, so hopefully they will bloom again in October!

Oh, and I can't go get any! Moving means you have to get rid of things. Not bring in more!

I do love mums. You are right nothing says fall like them, along with pumpkins. I hope the baby feels better soon. Hugs, Bonnie

I look forward to decorating our stairs with mums, but they would melt in this heat, I'm afraid. I will need to wait about two or three weeks. This post gets me a little more excited about fall, Elaine! :D

I love the pretty porches. I'm dragging my feet about summer being over. I'm really sad about the kids going back to school. The pretty mums and fall colors really help me to accept the seasonal change and move forward. I especially love the pumpkins hollowed out with mums; really pretty. Kathi

Love your Sunny Simple Life blog. I go into another zone when Autumn rolls around. The colors, sights, and smells of this time of year is magical to me. Pumpkin pies being baked, mums growing in my garden and craft shops make for one happy woman. Thank you for sharing,
