A Perfect Night

Here's how you start a perfect night. While sitting on the couch in the den, you text your hubby in the other room letting him know that you think he ought to take you out for dinner. Nothing special you say (or text) but just out and just the two of you. Thankfully he responds with, "I'd love to."

So off we went. Nothing fancy just a simple dinner out and a quick trip through a store that we have loved browsing together forever, Cost Plus. Love that store. You never know what you will find in there. I just picked up a few goodies I had to bring home.

Four Hello Kitty sodas for my girls. How cute are those. My 17 yr. old has already decided her graduation/18th birthday (they fall in the same month) will be Hello Kitty. She is like her dad. Cares not for convention nor for what anyone else thinks, just what floats their boat. I love it that way.

And for my owl loving daughter, these adorable gift bags I will put away until her birthday in a couple of months. She will love these.

And last, for me, or should I say my coffee, a little glass jar with a red lid to hold our coffee at the ready.

Oh and one last thing. As I was sitting up late watching a little TV, it started to pour. Thunder and lightening just a bit but oh the smell of rain with the windows open. One of life's simple pleasures. Can't wait for the first really rainy day.

I love Cost Plus and I never think to go in there. The sodas are adorable...definitely think a trip is in order. How was CGS?

We don't have a Cost Plus either -- we used to have World Market (same company I think) and I loved it for b'day and holiday goodies, but it closed back at the beginning of the recession/depression.

We had a little bit of rain yesterday (from Lee) and big wind today in TN. My 24 yr old and the family she stays with in Austin (family friends that moved there 3 years ago) have had to evacuate their home in Steiner Ranch last night due to the fires there. Texas definitely needs our prayers.

Soundslike a fun evening! You deserved it after spending several days with your sick little one! I think I am the only person alive who is not a big fan of Cost Plus! I can NEVER find anything in there, and they seem way over priced to me!
But I am glad you found some goodies. And what about your shopping trip at your favorite store on Saturday???
