Kitchen Bits

Some times it doesn't take much. I new set of kitchen cloths and I get excited. I use mine until they are embarrassing at which time they go to the rag cupboard. So a new set is a big deal around here.

I am currently painting a bookshelf to put in the kitchen. It is very old and was husband's great grandma's. It has been a dark green but in need of a change and new paint. It will be white and now in my kitchen. I am so excited. It has ugly old knobs and I am looking at replacing them with some glass knobs. What do you think of these?

I think I love the middle one. And just look at this kitchen below I found online. Had to pin it. Now if that doesn't scream happy and cheery, what does?

Did you get those at Kmart? I was there yesterday and almost bought those very same cloths! But I had just bought some elsewhere and didn't need any.
I think the green knobs will look so pretty. Show us when you're done, OK?

LOVE the red dishcloths! My favorite would be the middle knob -- jadite and red *go* so well together :)

Blessings!

I like the third milk glass knobs best because they would look good with your tiles and your red accents. I think sometimes it's the little things you use everyday that makes a difference....like your towels. You know how much I love red and white!! (My very favorite color combo).

It's always refreshing to get something new.... or even new to you, as in the cupboard that was grans. Can't wait to see it all put together, and with some gorgeous glass knobs. Have a beautiful day :)

Oh I KNOW! I think I get more excited over new cloths/teatowel sets than a new pair of jeans.

Funny how the simple things make us so happy...that's a good thing...I love getting new dish cloths and towels! I like all the knobs...I think the first one is really pretty but not for a kitchen...probably the middle one would be the best!

Mmmm...those knobs are all gorgeous! Use the one that speaks to you, they are all wonderful. I am getting ready to paint a pretty oak shelf for my kitchen, it is a coat tree, but I don't have a place for one of those and I badly need a bookshelf in the kitchen. So my hubby has said I can do this!!! I am so happy. I can't wait to see your newly painted bookshelf.
Hugs, Cindy

I love red linens in a kitchen. It just says 'vintage charm' somehow.

This is the first time in two or three weeks that I have been able to see you blog. Early on it would "freeze" up and I couldn't do anything ~ always had to manually turn off my computer. I am so glad I can see you again!

Ironically, I am in great need of new towels too, and those would be perfect in my kitchen.

Loved all the knobs.

I think fun knobs are the cutest way to add personality to something. Carol at The Polka Dot Closet makes her own and recently had a tutorial.

Here's a link if you're interested.

Oh I'm like you, I get so happy with kitchen pot holders and towels to match! Actually I do get happy with small stuff too and that cute pot with red speckles would make me sooo very happy! I love glass knobs and the first green one I love, but choose the one that speaks to you best. Have a nice weekend. FABBY
