Fall Plant Combinations

Fall container garden ideas. Fall plant combinations.

My pots have exploded with the cooler fall temps and lots of sunny days. The vines are turning and now the patio is under a carpet of leaves.

My chickens are of the garden decor type. He watches over me as I garden.

This purple sage doesn't do anything until October and then it explodes and becomes the deepest purple. Love that there are still plants that give a show after the summer season.

  1. So pretty and peaceful, your garden!
I am thinking that the way things are going over here with my chickens, YOUR chicken may even lay an egg first!! Now THAT would be bizarre!!

  6. What a lovely garden you have. Here in eastern Canada we are winding down and putting gardens to bed altho there is still a wee bit of those wonderful fall colours we can enjoy. I am busy planting up bulbs (hoping the squirrels will leave them alone) for spring. Just potted some amaryllis for a Christmas display!

Thanks for stopping by my blog and saying hello to me! I love meeting new people - and your blog is so wonderful, I've had a good time looking around! Your patio is so pretty, I love your patio rooster, and the purple sage is so pretty this time of year! I guess it's pretty in the Fall no matter where we live!

  12. So, so lovely, Elaine. If I loved there, the patio would be pretty, but the rest of the house would be neglected because I would spend all of my time outside! Thanks for sharing your photos of your patio.
