Christmas Colors

I am a traditionalist when it comes to Christmas decor. I like reds and greens and red and white combos. But every once in a while something a little different pops up in my home. The above wreath in the chartreuse green was a gift and I think it adds a little sparkle over my desk which is tucked in a corner of our hallway.

My daughter loves purple so her tree is done all up in the color. We just painted her walls last week. I am hoping hubby can hang her shelves this weekend. She says every time she walks in her room it makes her smile. She is doing accents in purple and orange and owls of course.

This pot of mums exploded and I thought with the tuck of chartreuse green in there it was perfect for Christmas so I drug it over closer to the French doors so we could see it.

If the weather here is going to be warmer I am just going to have to enjoy it. Today I played on the computer while my little one played in the back yard. Sun was nice on my face.

I am not a big fan of mums, but I do believe that is the prettiest pot of mums I have ever seen! The ones they always sell here are yellow, orange or burgundy -- fall colors I guess. But yours are spectacular!

I'd love some California Christmas sun -- we have rain rain and more rain and temps in the dreary 40's.

I love mums and have several of them around my house but having them bloom at Christmas time? it would be hard for me to imagine such a thing but where you live, it is rather common isn't it? Along with seeing Santa dressed in shorts or lights on palm trees and cactus. But it's not about the snow and cold weather is it? I hope you had a very merry and blessed Christmas...mums and all. :)
