It has been warm here even for Southern California. My nasturtiums and geraniums are bursting out.
The lavender are in full bloom already.
A row of freshly planted pansies keep the color going where the roses have been pruned.
I still need to get planters cleaned up. This one needs some maintenance and more poor disabled fountain needs a new pump. Q has made it a rock sculpture.
I cannot remember the name of these. They seem similar to gazania but are not the same plant. They bloom only in winter.
Pansies from last fall are still giving a show.
Orange blossoms and my jasmine all blooming right now. When you open the windows it is intoxicating.
My trees are flowering now too.
I hope you have enjoyed a sunny day in my garden. Come by for a glass of tea on the patio. I am totally serious. I love a reason to sit outside and Q can swing while we chat.

I wish I could stop by for a glass of tea and a chat. What a great afternoon we'd have.
ReplyDeleteWe moved from SoCal to Oregon about 3 years ago and one of the things I miss the most is the smell of the orange blossoms. I grew up in Redlands and have always had the scent of orange blossoms to usher in spring. Then in summer there was the cool earthy smell of the groves. I wish you could bottle up that scent and send it to me. I just looked out our window and it's snowing here!
ReplyDeleteI can't wait till I can have some nastriums blooming again!
ReplyDeleteLove the flowers! We have snow here. Looking forward to Spring. Visiting from The Patchwork Ark and Warm Heart Bears for Pink Saturday!
ReplyDeleteI love your garden! So fun to look at, mine are all covered in snow. I can't wait for spring.
ReplyDeleteI am visiting from Pink Saturday and now following your new linky tool and google.

Just gorgeous! Our flowers are starting to bloom up in the Bay Area, too. Happy Pink Saturday!
ReplyDeleteSo beautiful Elaine. Great shots too. Everything looks so cheery. I am so jealous! and so ready for Spring! Enjoy your fabulous flowers and trees.
ReplyDeleteIf only I could . . . .
ReplyDeleteIt's been a warm winter here -- and we were THAT warm on Thursday, with a high of 78 -- but we are still over all cold, and close to freezing at night. Daffodils blooming, and pansies for those who have set them out. I love nasturtiums, but they don't do well here -- we heat up way to fast in the spring, and are too cold through the winter.
Nothing like a beautiful garden to make us yearn for springtime. Enjoy. blessings.
ReplyDeleteOh my yard looks terrible, I would love to sit and have some tea and enjoy yours. Gorgeous. Hugs, marty
ReplyDeleteMakes me smile walking thru your garden. I live in eastern Ontario(just outside Ottawa) and have just come in from shovelling 20 cm (almost 10 inches) from my driveway. I am counting the days til spring. Thanks so much,Elaine for your beautiful inspiration!
ReplyDeleteSo pretty, Elaine...funny...I just planted some pansies yesterday in my front flower boxes. I usually plant some in the Fall and they last through Winter but I never saw them in the store so my flower boxes were empty all Winter. There are no 2 greater fragrances than orange blossoms and jasmine...ahhh....wonderful! Thanks for the flower show!
ReplyDeleteOh my what beautiful pictures. Everything here in Canada is still dark and grey and sleeping. I can hardly wait for my garden to wake up and bloom.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the smiles ;-)
I am soooo jealous! It was lightly snowing here this morning but the sun is now out, shining brightly but it is collllld. So I am being terrible ( still in my jammies) but pursing around the house doing a little knitting a little spinning and a little housework. Stopping for a glass of iced tea and a bloggy check in.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! Just Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous!
ReplyDeleteThe Pianist in Pink, have a great weekend!
I am so jealous!! We are far from seeing flowers here in Wisconsin! But with very wierd winter that we are having plants are turning green and trees starting to bud out somewhat. I would love to sit in your garden. It looks lovely!
ReplyDeleteLooks beautiful, I'm on my way :) (from Virginia :)
ReplyDeleteHow beautiful! I love seeing plants and trees coming to life and bearing such beautiful colors. I have actually been thinking about starting some lavender. Is it pretty easy to take care of?
ReplyDeleteHi Elaine, I was just in northern Ca. last week and I sure miss the beauty of winter there-the grass is so green while ours are brown and all the flowering trees are in bloom. We have to wait until the very end of May before we plant. Thank you for sharing, what a lovely garden you have.

ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous share. I loved strolling through your gardens with you. Geraniums are beautiful as well as your lavendar. A very scentful and fragrant post. Thank you for sharing.
Here in Phoenix, we too are experiencing the beautiful 80 degree weather. My lemon tree is loaded again with blooms. I have geraniums and petunias, and my lavendar pots are so full of blooms they are keeping the bees happy as well. Isn't it grand this time of year? Love it.
Have a beautiful weekend dear one. Country hugs and much love, Sherry
