Productive!

I feel like I had a very productive day yesterday. Know why? Because I finally got a piece of furniture painted. I used spray paint with primer. It was so quick. I think I will paint all my furniture (at least small pieces) that way in the future. Dried fast in between coats.
This piece has a twin in the garage so will go on the other side of my bed. They were my MIL's first night stands. I'd say that is getting your money's worth. Now 50 years later, still being used and in good shape.

When I was taking a picture of the nightstand my little one wanted a picture taken too. "Here take a pic of me smelling the flowers."

The girls beds all have had the flannel sheets taken off and switched over to cooler ones. Now to clean the linen closet to get all the winter stuff back in. On the list for today.

Felt my tray was sort of plain so I added some more goodies to it.

Now it is farm fresh and ready for spring.

I love the nightstand. I'll have to look for spray paint with primer.
Your little girl is so sweet. I miss having children around.

I love the picture with the petunias. Very cute! I always plant petunias in my window boxes, but that is still a ways off around here. Spring weather is slow in coming this year, it seems!

I have my Mom's dresser and matching nightstands. They are in desperate need of updating and I have been thinking of painting them. I like how yours turned out. What a cutie smelling those flowers! I bet she's a good helper in the garden. Really cute tray display too!

You are productive but husband will not let me change the sheets to cotton just yet. He is always cold.

The nightstand looks wonderful. Could I spray paint a desk? We bought one that has new drawer pulls for $25 and it needs paint but my heart is never in painting furniture.

Me again, I meant to tell you that we won't be taking our flannel sheets off our bed for some time still. I usually leave them on until the end of June.
Have a great week.

I really love your blog, I was never really into chickens but have enjoyed reading your your chicks. Now I am starting to covet my mothers Chicken bowl collection (not sure what you call them but the lid is the chicken head and body covering a bowl - she has about 20)

I just did a post yesterday on whether to paint or not paint furniture. I think you definitely made the right choice on these. :)

The tray looks just right! And, linen closet...mine is never very organized and I don't know what I can do..too much stuff, not enough room. I'll need to think about that.
