Busy Busy

I have so much on the docket for this month I don't even know what day it is. June isn't looking much less busy either. Saturday we celebrate Q's birthday. We gave her our gifts on her actual birthday but Saturday is for family and friends.

She was so thrilled to open her gifts. How special it is to see such joy. Just sitting around and enjoying her fun.

When we have her party on Saturday we will be cooking up a bunch of barbecued chicken.

Our recipe for moist bbq chicken is here.

My third daughter said good bye to her little class of kids at Awana. She prepared a little gift for each of them. I love how she always makes it special with a little ribbon.

I am off to get the oil changed in the truck, and head to the store and order a birthday cake. Have a wonderful day!!

Happy Birthday to your Miss Q! She' so cute as are all your daughters. I hope she has a great birthday.
Thanks for the heads up on the barbecued chicken! I shied away from it because I could never get it fully cooked before it started burning on the outside. DUH! Pre-cook it and don't put the sauce on until that last minute. You have answered so many questions for me and taught me so much! Thanks for sharing all your knowledge! Memorial Day will be barbecued chicken Elaine style!

We always have family get-togethers on the weekend to celebrate birthdays and such. So much easier for all of us. Awana!! I can remember two of my children being part of the program 25 years ago and now two of my grandchildren are in it. I was also a teacher in the Awana program for a good number of years. A wonderful and fun way to teach children about God's Word.
