Just A Memory

Was it ever really true? Was I enjoying wonderful cups of coffee from a mini Keurig just last week? I see I have the pods still on the counter so I must have had one. Alas, on Saturday we were making cups of coffee for guests at our party and the Keurig died. Don't know if we overworked the little thing or what but it went back to Kohls this week. Now I have to wait until I get another 30% off coupon to order another one. I am going to replace it though and when we have large groups we will use the old pot to make large amounts.

So for now it is back to the old pot of coffee but it is just not as good.

Oh No! Hope you get another one soon. It is so cute in your kitchen! A spot of sunshine in the morning. Hope you can handle the big pot until the 30% comes your way! Have a great day....if you can!

That doesn't seem right. Kohls should just replace that one, not make you wait until you get another 30% off coupon. Did you talk to them at customer service?

Surely it could be sent back to the company Elaine.

So sorry to hear that! When I was looking to get one I researched all over the net not for price as much as for reviews. I'd been looking at them for 2 years but there had been quality issues with their pumps and customers were complaining that they'd last about a year tops. So, I waited. Finally, I saw top reviews consistently on the model I bought and from a variety of sources. I know also that they tell you to use filtered water and there is also a cleaner or extra filter you can order, I think. This might have been an older model before they got their act together. As a computer science person I know you never want to be the first one on the block to get something because they don't have all the bugs worked out of it yet. So, you wait until it's been on the market awhile. I'm thinking that may be why you got such a good price too. It's so disappointing though and I'm really sorry because, like you, I thought that yellow one was so cute! I'd trade my black and silver in for that one in a heartbeat! Whose idea was it anyway to make black and silver appliances? There's a whole group of consumers who LOVE color and lots of choices! Kitchen-aide discovered that and I think they're doing pretty well! LOL! I hope we both find the Keurig of our dreams...one that works and one that's pretty! Good luck!

RIP cute little yellow Keurig. Why is Kohls making you wait for a new one? I think they should just replace it for you.

I have read wonderful things about Keurig's customer service. Many have had their pots replaced by simply having to return the little thing that fits where the dispenser goes. They send you a brand new pot.

I hope you can get a new one soon.

the company itself (Kuirig) is really good about replacing them. The first one we had needed to be sent back. We called the company, gave them whatever code they asked for from the old one, then shipped a new one out with a ship back label for the other. They even told us we didn't have to ship it back. So we got a new Kuirig...Just like that. Are you able to get a replacment through Kohls? I guess I didn't understand when you said you had to wait for another 30% off to get another???? They should replace it for the price you paid...unless you are meaning to get TWO!!! Hope it all works out! mica

You should be able to take it back to Kohl's now and get an exchange. Hopefully you still have your receipt. They don't argue w/you at all about returns.

I would love to have one and I like the fact that you like it so well, you're going to get another one! That's a really good review!

It's so annoying, isn't it, when some appliance you really like bites the dust. :-(((

Hope you get your 30% off coupon soon. Wish I could get that same coupon off on the camera I need to purchase.

Hi Elaine,
I echo what others are saying about a replacement.
It takes a while to adjust to going back to what you used to when.........!
Hope it's not too long before your coffee is back to normal.
Have a good week
God Bless

You didn't have that very long. They should replace that for you without a question. Kohl's is very good about doing that~

Too bad- I know that you will miss it! xo Diana

We bought a Keurig in January 2011 and it died in February 2012... just out of the warranty period. My husband contacted them and they replaced it. Great customer service. I certainly would call them. I cannot live without my Keurig so I totally understand your sadness!

Darn the luck! You must have bought a lemon. I am so sorry because I know how neat they are and they make the most delicious coffee!

Yours will be replaced soon.

I have never heard of a store not replacing a defective item sold. Is there a strange policy about this? You should not have to wait for any coupon.
