First Day!

Someone had a big first day of preschool. Actually it was the first time any of my kids did so it was exciting for both of us. She never had one reservation. She was ready to go.

A brand new lunch box was all she cared about.

All packed with a BPA free sandwich container. Everyone got these this year. They have a frozen piece you put in the top and it keeps the sandwich cold for a long time.

All ready to head in with her Popeye smile.

After placing her stuff in her cubby she wanted to play with the kitchen set. A girl after my own heart.

She never looked back. My independent girl.

When I went to pick her up the teacher said she sure was a girl her knew her own mind. Very independent. Yep she pegged her right. We will have to have some reminders that the teacher is in charge. All a part of learning how the classroom works.

She is so cute and very "strong" I know so many kids who start crying the first day of school e they don't stop until they go back home...the lunch box is really beautiful and I love the idea of the sandwich container that keeps cold the lunch.

Your daughter is such a cute little girl. I'm glad she was happy about going to her school.. Sometimes it can be the other way around.. I think it makes a Mom feel so much better when their children are happy about leaving Mom and going to school.
Those are cute little sandals that she has on and her lunch box is the "cat's meow" !
I hope she'll enjoy the entire school year.

How did you do? I know it must have been a day of mixed feelings. ((Hugs))

Q is growing up! I'm happy for you that she went so readily. It certainly makes the transition easier on us moms. But I too wonder how you did.

Good that she was ready to go. It probably made it easier for you? My oldest son cried his eyes out, but he went to elementary school as a very independent kid. And I cried.

She is definitely her mama's girl! Looks so like you, and I can see her blogging about her own "real" kitchen someday. Glad she loves it. Mary

what a sweet heart, oh my gosh she looks like you so much, the independant self confidence is something you can be proud , it because of your wonderful parenting, you and your husband, you helped her to have that , what a great mum you are, oh my gosh I remember the days when our youngest went off to school.I know self confidence is partly personality and partly helped by parents, I say this becasue our youngest was just like Q and our middle child cried and cried, same parenting but different children different personality, our oldest again self assured, the ones that are a little less self confident , they just take a little longer to gain that strength.
She also looks adorable in her little dress and sandals, happy days,
