Wanted to decorate the porch for the company we had over this weekend. I took the pumpkins I had, some galvanized things from the garden and a few extras and made a little fall vignette.
My hubby and kids like to decorate it all scary so I am sure that is coming this weekend. I prefer cute but I stay out of the outside decorating and let them have their fun.
The trick or treat sign is from Country General Store.
Fall pansies are a favorite of mine.
Happy Fall from my SoCal porch.
Such a perfect Fall greeting Elaine!!

ReplyDeletecurious are those black pansies are just really dark purple?
ReplyDeletei wonder??! (:
I tend to go for the cute, not scary, Welcome to my Home too! Love what you did so far! Have a great day!
ReplyDeleteGreat vignette! Looks very welcoming :)
ReplyDeleteI prefer cute over scary too, but at least it sounds like your family has come up with a good compromise to have a little bit of both.
ReplyDeleteI love galvanized pieces in decor, and your painted pumpkin is very cute. Have a great afternoon Elaine.
I am definitely going to miss my fall pansies, as I plant them every year. Can't get out to do it this year. Always enjoy their impish little faces!

Elaine, your porch looks festive and inviting. I love that painted gourd. I looked Covina up on the map and see that it a bit of a distance, but might make a fun field trip one day! Ann
ReplyDeleteLooks great , Love the banner ! Hope we get to see the scary version too :)!
ReplyDeleteI love it . It looks amazing. Love that table you have too and the swing, Oh, How I would love a swing. Hugs, Marty

ReplyDeleteI love the pumpkins with the galvanized pail and watering can. The bench is cute too.
ReplyDeleteVery cute and the pansies are so pretty!
ReplyDeleteSo charming. Makes me want to sit a spell.
ReplyDeleteVery welcoming, Elaine!
ReplyDeleteWhat a festive way to greet visitors and trick or treaters! Love the banner!
ReplyDeleteSo cute. I wish we had a porch to decorate.
ReplyDeleteVery pretty! I've never seen that color of pansies before. Here in northern IL, we usually only see pansies in the spring and they're more typically the purple ones.
ReplyDeleteHappy Fall Elaine!
ReplyDeleteLove your Fall porch.
I finally got all the chickens in the coop...so no more spraying off the porch. I hope to get some fresh paint on there ...before REALLY COLD weather sets in...and hopefully get something pretty up there!
...have a great wrap up to your week, Pat
Looks great. Love the banner. And ohhh to have a porch swing. There was always one in my life as a kiddo ...at home, at my grandma's ... sweet memories. Maybe one day I'll have a porch that's just right for a swing =)
ReplyDeleteYour front porch helps me get going in the right direction ( a little late, I might add). Thanks for your comment on my blog. Diane

ReplyDeleteThis looks nice Elaine. I love that painted pumpkin/gourd. Thank you for joining Home Sweet Home!

Love the painted pumpkin. We did that last year but painted a haunted house and cut out the window parts so that the glow came through there. Easeiest and cooest jack-o-lantern we've ever done! Stevie@ruffledfeathersandspilledmilk.com
