Winter Red

I love red. After Christmas, the reds that remain, cheer me.

As the sun streams in, it says, "Hello morning."

Winter berries left in a crock .

Every few years I leave one of the small trees up for a couple extra months. I decided my winter woodland tree would be perfect.

Hearts that were bought our very first Christmas when we had a huge tree and no money to decorate it, will start to appear as we think of Valentine's.

  2. Every time you show your white cabinet, I feel a big ping of longing for one - it looks like so much fun to decorate. Maybe this year at a yard sale or thrift store. What a great idea to keep up your woodland tree, a perfect fit for the winter! Hugs ~ Mary

  10. I too am a red girl! Such a fun color! And yellow...I love yellow too.
You reminded me, that when we were first married, we had no money to decorate a tree. In fact, I can remember one year, where I only had 25 dollars to get groceries AND a tree. I bought a Charlie Brown tree in front of Alpha Beta. I came home and decorated it with baby toys. Remember those plastic chains that linked together. The baby toys?
    Oh the days!
    Happy New Year my friend.
