I Heart Coffee

You are the first thing I think of in the morning. You are the little something that makes me so happy to greet the day.

You warm me and give me the strength I need to face life. Our love can never be measured. You are priceless to me. A day without you would be unthinkable. You are good to me even if I haven't brushed my teeth yet.

Without you I fear I could not be the person I want to be. Thank you for being there every morning. You never ask for much but a dash of sweetener and cream. I am so glad I met you in college when I had 7:00 am macro economics. We have been inseparable ever since.

Happy Valentine's Day coffee.
Here's a favorite coffee recipe.

  1. Did you make that journal? It is very cute! I have one that is similar that I made for Christmas - I write in it and update it every Christmas. -Renee

  2. Too funny! Coffee and I have a love/hate relationship. When I drink too much I get jittery! But I always come back. I may take a break, but it always pulls me back!

  3. I'm with you...love my first cup of morning coffee! I enjoy getting my coffee maker all set the night before and waking to the smell of it in the morning. Doesn't get much better then that! Cute post!

  4. That's the cutest post ever, I'm serious! So glad your coffee gets you going, I have to have my Mickey D's sweet tea. At least you don't have to go out for yours! Your pictures are beautiful!!!

  7. Love it. I should post a similar ode to coffee. With a 3yo, 2yo, and 10 mon old, I drink coffee more than water some days.

  8. I'm not a coffee drinker, though I wish I was. I really could use a jolt of caffeine to get my day going, but alas, it is not for me. I always say there are two foods I don't like - coffee and beets.

Well, I love coffee as well.
There is something very special about coffee...the aroma...the feeling...

  12. What a cute post! I love your pretty pictures and i feel the exact same way about my coffee! I'm drinking Green Mountain Breakfast Blend right now but it's a light roast where I usually have a medium. I just make a cup instead of a mug on my Keurig and then it is really tasty! I too add sugar and coffee mate....sometimes flavored. The Dollar General has the best assortment of flavored Coffee Mates I've found anywhere. The recipe sounds great especially tonight as we're getting snow! I'm so excited! Just got the wood in for a fire. You got my pumpkin latte recipe didn't you? It tastes just like the Starbucks one too! If you didn't get it let me know and I'll put it up on my blog. Thanks for any and all coffee recipes! Love the stuff!

I'll check out your favorite recipe, and I happen to be drinking a cup coffee as we "speak"!
    Blessings and Happy Valentines,

  14. I'm right there with you, Elaine. My Granny introduced me to it when I was little. Mostly milk and sugar and as the years passed, less milk and sugar and more coffee! It is so warm and comforting :)

  17. I have been having a love affair with coffee since I was in high school. I wanted to drink it along with my brothers, on our way to school in the morning. My Mom said I could, ONLY if I did not add sugar. I have been drinking since!!!! LOVE my coffee!!!

  22. Oh yes, I love my coffee first thing in the morning, too. We buy Starbucks beans from Costco and grind them for each pot, it's the best!
I love your red and white tray with the red lidded canister. Very pretty!

  24. My husband gets up before me to make coffee. I am lucky enough to wake up to a cup of coffee being handed to me in the morning. I think my family like me better with coffee in my veins. LOL
