Headed out Friday for a day of thrifting and shopping and of course lunch. I really enjoyed getting out and spending the day just doing something so fun. I love old things. You buy a vintage item chances are you will get your money back or more, but buy crummy stuff made in you know where, then it will end up in the thrift shop.
How about this vintage toy stove? So fun.
I have been wanting an old kitchen scale and found this yellow one for $10. Snatched it up quick.
One of my favorite purchases were these mugs from Country General. I love them so much. I said my coffee tasted better out of it.
Amazing trailer. I love the kitchen stove, how fabulous is that. Sounds like a fun day. Hugs, Marty
ReplyDeleteI was tweaking and moving things around the house yesterday and I want noticing all of the big and little things in each room that I have purchased at Country General Store. It is a good thing I don't live closer or I would be in there all the time and be a lot poorer.
ReplyDeleteWow, I would love that place.. The toy stove is adorable.

I have been wanting one of those old kitchen stoves. Have not been out 'hunting" for a awhile. Itching to go to the auction next week.
ReplyDeleteGreat buy on the scale!
I agree - coffee just tastes better out of a fun mug :-)
ReplyDeleteI don't know if its me but could not see your photos
ReplyDeleteSounds like you had a lot of fun! My daughter picked up an old scale awhile back. I had it sitting on my kitchen counter while she still lived here. When she moved out I found one at a garage sale for $1.00....I picked it up real quick. They make a cute kitchen decoration!
ReplyDeleteHow cute...ahhh.

What a fun spot! Speaking of fun spots, we just got back from a week at Cayucos! Rented a house right on the beach and LOVED it! Lookin' forward to going back soon. Fun to buzz in here for a bit and see what's been going on. Your luncheon looked like so much fun!
ReplyDeleteIt is fun going through other folk's junk, isn't it? I love to imagine the people who used the items...oh...if only they could talk!
ReplyDeleteelaine-
ReplyDelete{smiles} I think the same as you!
Whenever I'm in the mood to shop and want something *new* ... I make it a point to head to the thrift store or flea market... cause I love old things!

After many years of avoiding them, I am learning to love thrift stores. There are so many treasures to be found, it's just the smell that bothers me.
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute trailer, love the signage also.

I bet some little girl(s) had great fun with that toy stove "Once upon a time". so sweet!
ReplyDeleteCute, cute stuff.
ReplyDeleteFun time. We have a place called The Erlin Trader. It has been ages since I made a stop there. I could spend well over an hour just looking around the place. Your scales are cute!

Love love love the scale! I just got one too. Also love the sifter next to it. If I saw that thrifting, it would have to come home with me. :)
ReplyDeleteSo true. You will get your money back on vintage items but expect less than 1/4 on reselling new items.
