Rooster Party

I am joining Sheila for her rooster/chicken party. I have a long love affair with these feathered friends and I did a post about that here: roosters. My mom had roosters in her kitchen so I suppose it has been ingrained in me that you need a few in every kitchen.

I even have them in my china cabinet.

On pillows.

Here are some kitchen fellows watching over me as I cook.

They keep watch outside.

And even grace the garden.

  1. Love all your chickens! You must have been collecting for a long time.

  2. Oh goodness, I love that pillow of yours! :o)
    Very cute roosters. :o) They are beautiful creatures
    aren't they? You should hear them cockadoodledo-ing
    in our neighborhood! :o)

  3. Gorgeous rooses! I love them all. Love the plates and the pillows are so cute, too. Thanks for sharing. Hugs, FABBY

  4. I love your roo and chick collection. My favorite is the one in the china cabinet. Beautiful collage.

  5. I guess I should have joined the party too. I have always collected the non living version! I have my Grandma's rooster pottery dishes, and many roo's in my home. And now, the live version as well.

  6. Oh, you have some wonderful Roosters! What a cute mosaic and that fabric on your pillow is darling! Thank you so much for coming to my party!
    You are a sweetie,
    Shelia ;)

  7. Your roosters and hens are wonderful and so attractive! I love them all.
    What a fun post!
    Hugs, Cindy

  8. Oh I love them all. The rooster picture is wonderful. Great mosaic too. Thanks so much for joining TTT. Hugs, Marty

  9. What a great collection of roos. I especially like your shelf. It is very unique. Pillow is so cute. Don't you have black and white curtains with the same print?

  10. I'm still hopping around the party. Wow, you have some great hens and roos. Fun time here! ~ Sarah

  11. Charming yard birds, Elaine! Nice photos~ Happy August :)

  12. Now, when the hens come home to roost, your roosters will be ecstatic!

    Come in, my dear friends, and be seated, please—
    Oh, all of you reds are such a big tease!
    Scarlet, you creep over cheeks in a blush;
    Crimson, you’re always in such a big rush!
    Cherry, you’re tasty and pleasant to see;
    Carmine, you utterly satisfy me!
    So come in, my friends, and be seated, please—
    Of all the colors, I’d rather have these!

  13. Your roosters are so sweet. My favorite is the "guard" rooster next to the watering can. He is seriously intent!

  14. Great rooster post. My sister loves tham as well. She has them all over her house.

  15. Elaine you have a great display of roo's too! I did not know you had so many. Love the vignettes, and all the happy colors.
