I did make a really yummy cast iron skillet pancake that everyone loved, though! I'll be watching for your post on how you do your bread!

Kristi @ Stone Family FarmsteadKristi @Stone Family Farmsteadhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10084386629439861982noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3504547252988171727.post-33507857694293509622015-04-30T18:01:23.115-07:002015-04-30T18:01:23.115-07:00Yesterday I baked my first loaf of sourdough bread...Yesterday I baked my first loaf of sourdough bread and it turned out great. I baked it in our pizza oven. I have also made a loaf in the bread maker, some banana bread, and plan to make pancakes and scones (biscuits I think you call them).

I am so glad I tried making sourdough, I had put it off for so long, but it is really easy once the starter is up and growing.

xTaniaTaniahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10176661940614462611noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3504547252988171727.post-71736449572385210902015-04-28T00:09:55.900-07:002015-04-28T00:09:55.900-07:00Decades ago I used to make my own bread with sourd...Decades ago I used to make my own bread with sourdough starter. I once again have the time, but I try not to eat bread. I usually buy it from the local bakery in our little town. I love the stuff.
You know last year I got a diagnosis of diabetes-- sourdough bread is good bread for a diabetic (in moderation of course) because the active and bubbly part (the living cultures) eat that sugar up! So my body doesn't have to deal with it.

I am going to give this a try!Patricia @ 9th and Denverhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04786692442689958889noreply@blogger.com
