Mantel Makeover

After Christmas the fireplace mantel in my bedroom wasn't looking too hot. Christmas decor had been taken down and other junk remained.

See: Lamp from a project and kid toys, papers. Messy.

So I set to shoppin' around the house and even the garden.

Some touches of spring. A floral tray, birdhouse and watering can.

                                                                       From my backyard.

Complete.

  2. Your mantle is so pretty. I love all the garden decor. And so nice to have a fireplace in your bedroom. We have a very small house, but the kids are gone (well, one is in a dorm, so not gone completely!) and I have a little extra room to work with. Enjoy the time while your kids are young, yet know that when they are grown you'll probably have a craft room! Ha, win/win!
