Easy Homemade Vinaigrette Salad Dressing

I was able to pick lettuce tonight for our dinner salad and make a fresh salad with our super easy vinaigrette dressing. This is the first lettuce of the year. What a treat. Perfect time for Easy Homemade Vinaigrette Salad Dressing.

You can see I had more than enough for a large salad. It is so rewarding to pick your veggies from your own yard. I don't have any ripe tomatoes yet though and the cucumbers are still just small vines. Soon though, the whole salad will be from the garden.

I almost always make my own dressing. Really a vinaigrette. I like to control the sodium and other ingredients. It is so simple and even my kids prefer homemade to bottled.

I don't measure. It is just splashes and dashes of olive oil, some type of vinegar like red wine, rice wine or apple cider, sea salt, Mrs. Dash and Italian seasonings and salt and pepper to taste,

  1. That salad looks so good. Probably on of my favorite things to eat. And it's even better to be able to pick it fresh from the garden.

  2. Just seeing that beautiful salad make my mouth water. For some reason the soil where I live is not good for growing lettuce. ;-(

last night for supper, I made a salad with homegrown lettuce, and then added carrots, and red onion from the store that needed to be eaten.. with a little raspberry vinaigrette... I forgot to add the eggs!
Like you-- my tomatoes aren't ready.
    Great pictures, Pat
