Life from My Phone this Week

Some friends and I made a visit to Country General Store. They are having an anniversary sale today. I won't be there but if you are in the area you should go in. Total cuteness.

Yes, I know I messed up the words on the tin. Did that in editing. Too lazy to fix it.

I was laughing saying this is our pool. Clearance sale at Target provided some cooling off.

I keep messing with this corner and not loving it. The table is too formal so I covered it with a cloth I had but that is too busy. Can't I find a corner cupboard with old wavy glass on the side of the road?

My beach babe running in the waves on Monday.

These are all from my facebook page. I post over there all the time as I love how simple it is to check in and share quickly. Come visit me. Sunny Simple Life on Facebook

Oh how I would have loved to be there too. I loved that store!!!! Just bad timing, but school starts soon, and then I can play. The pics of Q are adorable! Loved the slip n slide picture! Great action shot!

Cute store stuff. Many of those kinds of things you can make yourself, or modify thrifting things. You could make the "eat" sign out of MDF if you had a scroll saw, or the hand version, then paint....

I have always loved stores like that. We use to have so many around here and several have gone out of business. Trouble with me is that I have now gotten to the stage in my life where I ask myself, "Do I really need that or just want it?" Sadly one spend the first half of their life accumulating stuff, and the second half getting rid of it. It is seen through different eyes, "this stuff is all dust catchers and has to be cleaned!!!" LOL, but we surround ourselves with the things that bring us comfort and make our homes our own, and then we say to our children, "would you like that to take home?" and more often than not, the kids say, "No mom, I don't need that." oh, such is life.

Your phone takes better pics than mine.

I follow you on Facebook too so I've seen these photos but they are definitely worth a second look. Oh that General Store.. How I could go more broke than I already am in there! Is that even possible? LOL

I love the kitchen items at the General Store. Lots of great vignettes to be made with all of it. I don't think the tablecloth made the corner too busy.

Country General Store is one of my all time favorite stores. My sister lives in Covina and whenever I visit her I stop there. If she doesn't want to go, I stop on my way in or out of town. And, I always spend too much money. But, they have so many cute things and I also get ideas.
