The Simplest of Gifts

Sometimes the simplest gifts from others are just wonderful little surprises. My daughter came home from a student's home to bring me these...

Meyers lemons, the best lemons in the world and fresh eggs from backyard chickens. If I wasn't trying to watch it so much, I think I would wip up a Lemon Chiffon Cake.

  1. How sweet! I've never had Meyer's lemons. Are they really different than your ordinary lemons? Pretty eggs too.

  3. These are truly special gifts. We have a Meyer lemon tree, but we will be moving so won't get the enjoyment of fruit from this tree next year. We are planning to plant one at the new house. I'm not sure I would have the resolve to not make the lemon chiffon or for us, it would be lemon meringue.
