Is anyone like me? I just happened to be in Home Depot yesterday and I fell in love with this hanging basket. Had to have it. So I told the hubby when he got home to come out and see what he got me for Mother's Day. Am I the only one who does this? He always gets me a little something for Mother's Day from just him so I thought I would save him the time. He is a busy guy so I know he doesn't mind me saving him the trip.
I just want to hang out on my patio all afternoon these days. Neglecting the house is the fallout. I need to spend some serious time indoors but soon enough I will do that. For now more time out of doors while it is so lovely.
A little sign points the way to the garden.
We updated our curtain rods indoors so the old rod with the glass balls made it out to the garden. Why toss them when you can find a new purpose?
Let's get together for a cool drink in the afternoon shade. Yeah for warm weather and lovely views.

I LOVE that basket, too. I do the same thing. I buy me something and then tell him he got me a mother's day gift. Thanks for joining WUW.
ReplyDeleteYes please a cold drink on your patio looking at your garden sounds fabulous! Here in eastern Ontario,Canada it is raining and 8(C) about 46(F). Our garden centres are just starting to open.
ReplyDeleteThank you for your dish cloth pattern. I have made lots and have given some to friends with a bottle of environmentally friendly dish soap as a hostess gift.
Love the basket, it is wonderful and your garden looks super. I love the use of the finials off the drapery rods. That so creative. Enjoy. Hugs, Marty
ReplyDeleteKim sent me over :o)
ReplyDeleteWhat a pretty basket :o) Goodness, if your curtain rods are discarded how fabulous are the replacements? Imaginative re-use, they look great in the garden.
What is the plant that forms the 'hair' on your wall mask? I have a similar mask and cannot find appropriate hair for it!

ReplyDeleteThe basket is so pretty. I have bought my own gifts before, especially when Trip was traveling all the time! I think it's sweet that your hubbie buys you a Mother's Day gift just from him....too cute!!!!
ReplyDeleteThat basket is so pretty! Just bought some similar million bells! Love the colors.
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like the way to go to me! Pretty flower basket and you are lucky to be having nice weather, we have only had 3 nice days in the last few weeks!

ReplyDeleteI read somewhere that about 70% of women request garden plants for Mothers Day.
I know that I'll be getting flowers and herbs for Mothers Day ..... makes me one happpy girl :)

The wall basket is beautiful. I probably will be the only one who remembers the holiday but my kiddo is in the middle of college finals so I do understand. ♥O

You have a wonderful outdoor space. That area with the candles and fountain look especially inviting. You got a wonderful present "from your husband". My mom does that almost every gift giving occasion. My dad loves to shop, but only fo him, so I think he prefers she do it this way. At least she'll like what "he" picked out.
ReplyDeleteI love your patio and your hanging basket is so pretty. We are off to Home Depot today also. I might have to look for one of those pretty baskets. Have a lovely Mother's Day!
ReplyDeleteI think husbands enjoy the help, don't you?
ReplyDeleteI have never done that but DID do that this year. He seemed most relieved when I told him the new purse I had just gotten on holiday was my Mother's Day present from him and the kids! stopping by from the blog link up. blessings to you, Katie
