Not into orange and black for Halloween. Here we used red, white and black for our Halloween decorating.
Who says Halloween decor has to be orange? Well, I love orange but not in my kitchen so this year I decided to work with what I had and bring in some black and white Halloween decorations to mix up with what was already on my kitchen shelf.
I was really trying to make it easier on myself this year and try to mix in decor and not have to take everything down like I have in previous years.
Love this little black and white pumpkin from Target years ago.
I love this witch silhouette. She flies proudly through the kitchen every Halloween.
Battery operated candles add a flicker of fun at night. I love to pull up into the driveway at night and see the glow of all my little holiday lights shining through the windows.
This little spook was a gift from a friend. He is smiling over my kitchen.
Not too scary and I didn't have to take down and store all the goodies normally on the shelf. Simplified. Notice kitchen still not painted. Life.
Very cute!
ReplyDeleteLooks adorable Elaine. Isn't it great when you can work with what you already have and get a wonderful display? Have a great day friend.

Darling, scarlet ladybug,
On the prowl for bugs and such,

I would not be frightened (much).

That stove is adorable.
Thank you for stopping by my blog!
Super cute! These past couple of years I have been on a mission to simplify my holiday decor. Fewer areas decorated, more of my "regular" stuff left alone, etc. I'm still working on it, trying to get closer and closer to my goal of only using about 30 percent of what I used to. (that goal does not apply to my christmas tree... everything else yes, tree no.) I've already donated a bunch of stuff that I will not be using anymore, and plan to have another box out the door the week after Thanksgiving. It feels great!
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness...this is soooo cute...you did an outstanding job!!!
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Linda

This is inspiring to me! I have a kitchen with yellow, red, and black, and I don't want to orange it up, either. Love your ideas. The witch pumpkin is my favorite part.
