My patriotic Christmas tree is all done in the den. We have our main tree in another room so I like to have a little one in here to enjoy. Red, white and blue Christmas decor goes well with my colors in our den of blue, red and tan.
Red stars, glass flag ornaments and star lights are the simple decorations for this tree.
A few flags tucked in for good measure and this tree is done.
A patriotic banner tucked in the old garden bucket is the finishing touch.
This year I decided not to take down all my everyday decor, but just add Christmas touches. Less work after it is all done is what I am aiming for. I want decorating to be put up and taken down in an afternoon. That was my goal this year and we pretty much achieved it. Here in the den some simple Merry Christmas blocks were placed right in front of my fabric angels.
I love this red white and blue tree. My living room is all patriotic so I might have to do a mini tree in addition to my regular christmas tree. Thanks for the inspiration
ReplyDeleteHi Elaine...
ReplyDeleteOooh...I love your pretty Patriotic Christmas tree and decor, my friend! All the ornaments are so pretty and I love how you used the patriotic banner in the bucket for the base of the tree...very creative and very pretty! Thank you for sharing your beautiful Christmas with us!

ReplyDeleteI LOVE your r/w/b tree. I did one years ago and still remember what a beauty it was. I also love the bucket. My living room tree is in a large galvanized wash tub and my little dining room ones are in red and white enameled buckets and pots -- LOVE that look :)

Love the tree! That's our motto...something must go out for anything to come in!
ReplyDeleteLove that patriotic tree.
ReplyDeleteI too have to get rid of one thing (or two) for every new thing.
If I didn't you'd see me on 'Hoarders.'
Great decorations! Looks like so much fun! :)

ReplyDeleteWe used to have a patriottic tree in the diningroom ~ gosh.. there were trees all over this house ~ like you, last year I decided that I was going to cut back. We are down to two full size trees. Packing that stuff up will be so easy this year. : )

Yay for the patriotic tree. I think I donated two boxes of decorations this past weekend and need to give more.
ReplyDeleteThere must be some kind of prize for The Most Patriotic Tree, mustn't there?
ReplyDeleteA DAY WITHOUT SCARLET
A day without scarlet, they say,
Can color the soul ashen-grey;
For if there’s no red,
The soul feels half-dead,
And has no incentive to play.

Red blossoms here, red buds here
I love your red white and blue tree. I love your angels too. Everything is lovely.
ReplyDeleteThat tree in the bucket is so cute! I hear ya about the purging and keeping it simple. Your little angels are sweet, and I just love all your prims!!!
ReplyDeletethe red white and blue tree is awesome!!!!!
ReplyDeleteso funny, I have been purging too and I cant believe I kept some of this stuff this long...this year, if I dont put it out, its getting tossed!!!!!
I love that tree! I am going to do the same with my decorating, just adding little touches rather than removing my everyday decor.
ReplyDeleteWould love to take a peek in your Goodwill bag before you drop it off. LOL.
Smiles,
Debbie
Maybe a competitive Republican Presidential Candidate will appear at the base of your lovely Patriotic tree (a girl can always hope)...
ReplyDelete;P
Your blocks are cute in front of the angels. But you have me thinking because I am getting ready to take everything but the books off of our shelves before I decorate, and store the stuff. Lots of unnecessary work...maybe....

Love it and your red toile chairs! Thanx for linking up to THT!
ReplyDeleteThat looks so nice! I just finished a patriotic Christmas tag. Will post soon!
ReplyDeleteI like your idea of just adding some Christmas to what you already have displayed during the year! I do not get rid of much from year to year. I only have things that were given to me in years past or were from a loved one who now is gone. Love the memories these Christmas decorations bring as I plae them around my house and tree:)
ReplyDeletewhat a cute little tree!! I love the theme.
ReplyDeleteDon't you just love it when little things that you don't notice in 'real life' but then you see them in your photos! I've done that, too. LOL
Another thing we have in common other than the little chicken lamp...I've got the same little Merry Christmas blocks!! Seriously. ;D where did we get those anyway? I can't remember.
So loving this tree!
