I love this adventure of blogging. I mean I really do love it. So fun and such great friends I have made. With all that is going on around here I always carve out time to blog and blog hop as it is such an uplifting hobby. It has made me a better house keeper as well. Now I think more of my home as my little jewel and I like to keep it picked up more so it is pleasing to myself and my husband.
Anyhoo on to the updates. I am so excited to have been asked by Brenda at Cozy Little House to take part with her and two other bloggers in a new series called Thrifty Living 2012. The series will start next week. You know if you have read my blog at all that frugal living is a passion of mine. I did not always think this way but when I left my job of 18 years when my little one was born three years ago, we had to start living on one income in a very expensive part of the country. This should be great fun but also useful I hope to others who will read the series. We are all women coming from different view points on our journey of frugality.

And secondly, I wanted to let you know that I have a facebook page and have had some fun making friends over there but I occasionally like to share deals I find and will start listing those on my facebook page. Come see me over there and say hi.
That's all for now folks. What are you all up to today? I have to go pick up some glasses for my hubby and hit the market for a few of the weekly deals. I am only shopping the store deals this week as I am pretty well stocked and want to keep my grocery spending low for this week.
I feel that way about blogging to, I think we each uplift and inspire each other for the good! ;D
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to the series and getting to know you better with each post! :)
ReplyDeleteYou were a perfect choice for the series. Looking forward to it. I am not a big fan of FB but when I get back into it I will add you. I just had my baby sister over for lunch and we had a great time and I made her help me hang a picture. I told her if she visits we must decorate something.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Olive, you are a great choice. You and Brenda together will make an awesome twosome. Bonnie
ReplyDeleteI read Brenda's post yesterday and thought HOW COOL that she asked you to do this series.
ReplyDeleteSo exciting.
I like reading all your frugal tips and deals. I read both of your blogs daily. So I'm so excited to read this series.

ReplyDeleteI will be excited to read this series of frugal living. We have pretty much always done it on one income, so know how hard it can be. You are at the time in your life when the kids are the most expensive too! Driving, braces, college, etc!!! I have always been conscientious regarding my grocery shopping dollars, but I am even more aware now, with the prices sky rocketing!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the new series and I'm sure you will do a great job helping all of us do better with our money.
ReplyDeleteReally looking forward to your series on frugal living. We are living on one income right now, too, so I would love any new ideas on stretching the budget.
ReplyDeleteThis sounds like it will be very interesting, I look forward to reading it. Blogging has caused me to rethink a lot of things also.

I had my daughter pick up milk and some fruit at Braums for me today when she came over. I'm going to try to eat what is already in the kitchen and not grocery shop at all this week. And save myself some money!
ReplyDeleteBrenda
What fun Elaine. You are such a good choice to join Brenda. I will certainly be watching to see what you girls recommend. Patty
ReplyDeleteI look forward to your new series. We can all use a little help these days with inflation skyrocketing out of control!
