I was at our local garden center picking out some seeds and lovely chicken manure for my veggie garden and saw this sweet little metal pot. I placed it next to a pic of me and my original Valentine, my sweet momma.
I love me some galvanized metal so I caved and bought it for myself.
So nice to have some greenery inside. I hope it will be happy here.
We have this unruly rose in my backyard and this gardener did not cut it back this last year so look where it has climbed to.
Climbing, climbing...
Oh are we going to have a heck of a time getting it pruned out of my tree. My ornamental peach is just about to bloom so we will wait until it is done.
When I bought flowers at the grocery last week, I almost caved and bought a real plant. But they were too expensive... Yours is gorgeous in that container!

The heart on the pot is darling. Climbing roses are very aggressive.

Great little planter! Looks like your climbing rose has a thing for your peach tree. I can't wait until it's time to go out in the yard and pull some weeds. Wait, did I just say that?! Well, in the Spring it's enjoyable. All we have right now is snow and more to come tonight!

ReplyDeleteWow...that's one climbing rose. I don't know...I think I'd keep it right where it's at. It's definitely different, interesting and makes for great conversation.
I have never seen a rose bush climb a tree before. Neat picture.

I LOVE your new metal plant pot. The possibilities are endless with it! Happy Valentine's Day!
ReplyDeleteHow cute is that pot....I love the ribbon embellishment. I'm envious of you having live plants in your garden this time of year, but am grateful not to have to be worrying too much about upkeep right now. All I can say is to invest in a good pair of gloves to protect your hands when pruning those roses!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing your posts each week at my party Elaine. I really appreciate your visits.
