St. Patty's In the Kitchen

I like to celebrate our teeny tiny bit of Irish blood every March.

I love the wood sign I found on Etsy last year.

Green gingham and some green touches are all I added.

Now for the corned beef and cabbage. I am going to try an Irish soda bread recipe a reader sent to me.

  8. Hi, I love the plant and shamrocks; I am totally Irish through and through. I don't have as many St.Patty's Day decorations as I'd like. I love yours and your shelf as well.
We won't be eating corned beef and cabbage, carrots and potatoes for awhile yet.

  17. I love this holiday. My grandparents came here from Ireland. This is terrible to say ,but I hate soda bread. My parents taught me to bake my corn beef and cabbage. A lot of people boil it. It has more flavor that way.
Your shelf looks great. Love the sign .

  20. Hi Elaine,
I use to decorate quite a bit for St. Patty's. I finally gave my decor away, but we still do a green dinner for the family. It's always so fun! Your touch of green is very sweet!
    Hugs,

  21. Your St. Paddy's Day decor is certainly fun! I'll be making a traditional Irish meal, including some soda bread. With names like Sullvan and Murphy, we can't help but celebrate the luck of the Irish! Visiting from Marty's party.
