Here is where I am at today. A trip to the nursery and lots of dirt on my jeans.

We headed to the nursery to visit Mrs. Duck.

And the fish.

I was up early and scrubbed my kitchen down to the floor. Boy do kitchens get dirty. Tonight is roast turkey breast with mashed potatoes and gravy, my daughter's request. Once the weather warms up here, we won't use the oven for dinners like these so we have to enjoy them while we can.

  1. I have always liked koi fish, they are so varied in color and looks. Your kitchen in sparkling!

  2. Looks like a great trip to the nursery!

Your kitchen is so clean! Ummmmmm...wanna visit mine???? :)

    Happy Sunday!

  3. A sparkly kitchen indeed. What a great feeling that is. That is on my plan for tomorrow. Blessings to you.

  4. Sounds like a great day and dinner! LOVE Ms Duck :)
    Robyn :)

  5. Oh, a trip to the nursery-sounds like a dream! We usually plant around Mother's Day! Hope you had fun! Mmmm, turkey dinner-my favorite.

  6. Looks like you had a great trip Elaine. And your kitchen, after all your efforts it looks so heavenly white. I admire you for the effort and patience.

  7. Hello Elaine! Pretty clean kitchen! I need to scrub my floors! You have inspired me to head to the nursery and get some pretty flowers! I need to get planting! Wishing you a wonderful week!

    Miss you!

  8. I am a wee bit jealous of your trip to the nursery but I know if I went I would have been bad and bought plants I did not need. It has been cold here since Thursday anyway.

  9. I always feel so good when I have a really clean kitchen. Sounds like you had a great day. I can't wait to get to the nursery. But it will be another two months before I can buy anything.

  10. Your dinner sounds sooo good right now. I immediatley had a sweet vision of this meal...
Hope your day was fun at the nursery.

  11. Mrs Duck is so cute! Can't wait to get my hands dirty in the soil..still a little too cold here to plant. Hope you had a great time at the nursery!
    Miss Bloomers

  12. I can relate to the "scrubbing" part Elaine. I spent all day today cleaning floors, tweaking little areas around the house and just plain cleaning. Its a lot of work but it is so nice to sit back when its all done and enjoy!

I am soooooo looking forward to our outing this upcoming weekend.

  13. We had roast chicken, which was yum. I can't wait until it warms up enough to head to the garden center here. :)

  14. I just love when my kitchen is clean and I feel like cooking so much more with a clean kitchen too. I can't wait to dig in the dirt. Here in MO we have been having some 65 degree days so I feel like spring is just around the corner...although a snowfall isn't out of the question.
    Have a great Monday.

  15. I always enjoy seeing your sweet cottage, especially your very clean kitchen! I hope your roasted turkey breast was delicious!
    Have a good day,

  16. Oh my kitchen needs a major cleaning from top to bottom! Wanna come over and clean mine?? ;)
Mrs. Duck is so cute. I'm sure she has quite the personality, too.

  17. The kitchen is sparkling! Mine needs a good scrubbing so badly. I do love a good cleaning.. but your right the kitchen seems to get so bad!
