Teeny Tiny Office Update

How to create a home office in a teeny tiny office update. Small space office ideas when you need to create a home office and do not have a room. Here we too a corner of our hallway to create a home office for me.
small office space, tiny office space

As with all projects around here progress is slow on my desire to get this little nook set up as a little office space for me. I am making slow progress though. Of course my budget is close to zero so I am trying to use what I have.  I moved all my little angel figures to the top shelf and found a little wire letter basket and file holder in a cupboard collecting dust.

So here was the before. It is an improvement. The printer was moved to the girls room as they use it all the time and had the room for it.

I hated how the internet boxes were falling all over so I took an old wooden box and corralled them.
Looks neater already.

Here was my inspiration photo. I do have lots of storage in my desk so I do not need to buy a hanging unit as pictured. I did find some cheap hanging organizers at Target that will work for the paperwork I need to keep at hand.

Now to just get the hubs to hang them this weekend. Still to do: Corral and hide the cords and wires and get a new lampshade.

  1. I love your little wooden box. I'm sitting here looking at my desk with piles papers and "stuff" thinking I need to get it cleaned up and organized. Yours looks so nice and orderly.

  4. It looks fabulous. I use the buffet in the breakfast area, so I think you having a whole desk is fabulous. Love the changes. Hugs, Marty

  9. I like how you hid your modem and router. My computer is new, so currently everything is out in the open. Those things are a real eyesore, aren't they? The computer will fit into my desk, but if they don't, I'll have to find a pretty basket or something to conceal the boxes like you did.

Looks like you are well on your way to a great orgainized space!

  10. Hi Elaine, your little nook is coming together nicely. Now that you moved your angels to the top shelf you will always have an angel looking down on you. How nice is that? I like the corraling idea. Cords are a pet peeve of mine. I have some showing in my bedroom and they bug me terrible. I guess not too terribly because I haven't done anything about it. lol

  12. It looks great and I love the little box!!! I think yours looks more airy than your inspiration photo because the organizational hanging unit makes it look too crowded....theirs would have looked better to have had only the shelves like yours.

I am @ Starbucks, getting ready to write my Literary Friday post. I had to come by and see what you've been up to before I get started. Charter cable swears everything will be done tomorrow by noon. We'll see...

  16. This turned out great. My dad is really good at coralling cords and hiding them so one doesn't trip :) :) Love and hugs from the ocean shores of California, Heather ;)
