Today was our first day of school. So back packs stuffed with fresh new supplies and lunches made we headed off for the morning carpool. The day went well and my new high schooler seemed to have enjoyed her first day of public school ever. She found all her classes and met lots of new folks. Her and a friend really enjoyed decorating their lockers a couple of days before school started.
So in anticipation of this special week I splurged and bought our favorite cheddar cheese bagels for breakfast.
Some cute paper bags bought on clearance for holding lunches. I tucked a little not inside wishing her a good day and hoping she made lots of new friends.
So just Q and I remained on the home front. We came home, took care of the chickens and then I scrubbed my kitchen counters and wiped everything down. They really needed a good cleaning.
I threw some of my needed supplies in a wooden box but may move this to my little desk. I am always tweaking things to see if I can find better ways to stay organized.

Our schools aren't back in until Sept. 4th. Then it's my baby's Senior year! It will go by so fast I'm sure! I'm sure your daughter will make a lot of friends!
ReplyDeleteSo glad she had a good first day of public high school, you're a sweet mama to put a note in her cute lunch bag! Love your organization, looks great in the cheese box. We've started geometry here, though public school doesn't open til after Labor Day, I thought it would be best to get our toe in the water so that "opening day" isn't so traumatic (as it usually is around here ;).
ReplyDeleteElaine,
ReplyDeleteI hope it's a great school year!
Oh....I love your little crate you're using for organizing. That's perfect!
Blessings,
Tammy
Wishing her a great year in school. Those bagels sound wonderful. CC is off to college on Saturday and she is taking my Jeep for the first time. Kind of scary but she drives well.
ReplyDeleteI love that little box! Where did you find it?
ReplyDeleteThat's a great idea on the wooden box. I have two and never really knew what to do with them. I will have to pull them out and use one that way.
ReplyDeleteEverything looks great! Love that red toaster. :)
ReplyDeleteOh..I'ts hard to believe school is in session once again. where did the summer go?
ReplyDeleteYour little one must be happy carrying such a pretty lunch. I do hope she loves her teacher and makes many new friends.
