I kept all my prim touches and just added a pot of silk flowers and a chicken. I have cut back on the holiday decor and just want to tuck seasonal touches here and there.
I bought these adorable chicks and the tiny salt and pepper shakers along with a burlap runner for my spring table centerpiece. I need to find a new tablecloth and get the table decorated. They had the chicks arranged with small bird houses and clumps of green moss. It was simple and screamed spring. I want to find some of the mossy rocks they had. That way I can leave the chicks out through May when I change over for Memorial Day.
Happy almost Spring!!
Love the chickens! You've inspired me to go create a vignette today. Have a wonderful thursday, Elaine.
ReplyDeleteLove those chicks, so *you*!
ReplyDeleteI love the simple natural color scheme- and those chicks are adorable! You're so right thrift stores have the most amazing finds sometimes- sometimes a coat of paint can transform anything!
ReplyDeleteLooks good already! I've been doing some redecorating and have been "shopping" my house. It's kind of fun to see how I can change things up without spending money.
ReplyDeleteI love all of your primitive pieces, they are so fun and you do create such lovely vignettes with them. Hugs, Marty

ReplyDeleteVery nice and simple...love it. Aren't thrift store finds the best ?Blessings friend
ReplyDeleteI also need to work with more muted colors, basically cream, green, peach, very soft yellow, and I also need to be thrifty. No need to add to my collection, I have been scaling down for a while. Feels good. xo
ReplyDeleteHI Elaine! Oh, just as pretty as can be and your little chickies are cute.
ReplyDeletebe a sweetie,

What a lovely washstand!! A family piece??? You know - that would make such a nice baby changing table!!! I know this isn't what your posting is about - but I really enjoy furniture/wood and it's history. . . .
ReplyDeleteLove the chicks!!!!
ReplyDeleteHappy Almost Spring!!

Love the yellow bowl you painted and the chicks are darling. All my decor items are thrifted. I get sticker shock in a regular store every time I enter one which is not often.

ReplyDeleteThe simplicity you chose to decorate for Spring is so non-fussy. I like it. Today, I tweaked a few things around home. For the moment my red hutch is now sporting a few bunnies.

I love your ideas for your Easter decorating Elaine and I agree with you it doesn't have to cost a mint.

I love the chicks, Elaine. They remind me of some of the chicks in my egg cup collection. I don't really decorate for the seasons. But I will highlight my egg cups in the coming week - an annual Easter time tradition. Yes, bring on Spring!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for joining in this week!

The silk flowers and the chicken added just the perfect touch of spring to your home. Often it's the small touches that add the most impact. Love those little chicks too!
