How to Barbecue the Most Tender Pork Roast Ever

Here is how to cook a moist delicious pork roast on the barbecue.

We love to grill. My husband is the man and can make anything taste good on the barby. He was trained by my father. Anywhoo I wanted to share how we make a delicious pork roast on the barbecue and the secret my friends is a brine.

Take a pork loin roast at least two hours before you are going to cook it and soak it in a brine.
I take a couple cups of water and dissolve 1/2 c. of sea salt in it in a saucepan. Then add four more cups a in large bowl. Now you can add what you like. I just add fresh rosemary but you could dissolve brown sugar in your brine, add garlic whatever you think will sound good. Let that roast soak in the brine in the fridge at least two hours longer would be better.

Now when I pull mine out of the brine I take long sprigs of rosemary and pierce the roast in long angles with a nice and then slide the rosemary stem inside before cooking. Season how you like. I use some Mrs. Dash. Don't need to salt it because it was soaking in the brine.

My husband likes to use more indirect heat with large piece of meat like this. He spreads the charcoal around the edges of the grill before he puts the meat on. He says for a roast that is about four pounds, he would grill it about 45 minutes, keeping the lid on at times.

He is an expert carver. If I try to slice the meat it looks very hacked up.

You can see some of the rosemary I stuffed in there. It is so tender you can eat it or pull it out but I love the taste. Rosemary and pork is a wonderful combination.

  11. Looks great! My hubby is a wonderful there such a word...He cooks only on wood chips or briquettes...on a 40 year old cast iron grill my Dad gave us...brining pork is wonderful...never tried the rosemary in it...looks great!
