I have been busy today working in the yard. My hubby has been working a lot so I took over mowing this week. I love when the yard is all clean and spiffy. The flowers are loving the milder fall weather and I added a few mums to the front porch. It is a good workout to get your yard in shape.
After I did all the chores I made an iced coffee and went to sit with the new chickens. I try and just sit with them quietly everyday so they get used to me being around and not so skiddish. They pretty much come see if I have any treats whenever I enter the run. Love them. The run area is full of leaves and bugs and spiders since the old girls left. I am slowly cleaning everything up and pulling out the old garden plants from the summer. They are enjoying scratching for bugs. I threw them a hug grub and they all ran. They were afraid of it. Chickens!!
Our little fairy coop garden sort of was looking disheveled so I moved it to another pot and planted some dwarf mondo grass in there. Everything was dusted off and now looks so much nicer moved to the patio so I can see it from the window.
What are you up to this week? I have a couple of giveaways coming up so I will keep you posted.
Okay, I can tell that I've been missing some very important blog posts. When did the chickens return? P.S. The flowers look great!
