The Future Of My Blogging

Sitting here with Mr. Pumpkin Head pondering the future of blogging.

My laptop died and because I needed a new dryer, I held off and used an old computer of my daughter's. Finally, I ordered a new laptop and it was so beautiful and shiny but lo and behold, the space bar did not work. Can you believe that? Clearly no one checks these things before shipping.

So now I will look for a computer good for blogging. I am in the range of less than $800, preferably less than $500. If you can suggest a good laptop you are happy with for a reasonable price, please let me know in the comments.

  1. Elaine the sales are going to start her in early November. I've bought 2 good laptops. One laptop was $550 and a HP. My husbands was a Sony that I use now and his was around $600. I have several friends who use $300 Acers and they do better than both of ours. A friend of mine works for Dell and they usually go on sale for around $450.

  4. for 11 years I've had dells and Toshibas. when the last one died I went with a 329.00 17 inch screen acer and I couldn't be happier with it.. I am still amazed at such a great laptop for so little money.

I have office as well as a mega bit art program and everything works beautifully.

good luck with whatever you decide~!

  5. I had to get a new one a couple of months ago. If you're interested I can look up the post that tells all about it and shows it. It is a Toshiba 15 inch and was just under $500 with a rebate. I really love the lit up keyboard!

  6. We have an ASUS laptop and an ASUS desk top. After we bought them we saw that Kimkomando.com (I subscribe to her email newsletter) rates this brand very highly. We are happy with our two ASUS computers and they are not expensive.

  7. I just bought a new HP Laptop at Staples. The computer cost $450 and there was a $100 rebate online if you buy a computer with Windows 8 and all computers came with a free Windows 10 update. I also opened a Staples More account and received an additional 10% off. This was about a month ago so I'm not sure if all these deals are still available. I love this laptop and it's more than enough for all of my blogging needs. Good luck with whatever you choose!

  8. I'm another one who votes for a cheap Acer from Walmart. Technology changes so fast that I think it is better to buy a disposable laptop and replace it every two or three years. Mine has lasted 3 yrs. and does everything I need for blogging. I didn't pay to have any programmes loaded into it. There are plenty of free ones you can download, including word processing.

  9. We had to replace 2 computers this year, and it was not fun...frustrating, maddening and sickening!!!
Hopefully you'll find a good quality one at a great sale price!!!

  10. Well, they aren't in your price range, but we are a Mac family and swear by them. I once insisted on buying a PC because I used a PC at school. It was a huge mistake. I definitely think that Macs are worth the money.

  11. While I don't care for laptops I always buy HP's for their reliability. If you look on Bestbuy.com you can find online sales where they direct ship to your house, for free. Great deals there...
