Create a Baking Basket - Kitchen Quick Tip

Another in our kitchen organization series. When I go to bake or stir up something from scratch, I don't want to have to go here or there to gather my ingredients so I created a baking basket. All my baking and scratch cooking needs in one place.

In my basket I keep all that I would need for basic baking organization in one place.

Here is what I keep in my baking basket:
Measuring cups
Measuring spoons
Cookie scoop
Yeast packets
Baking soda
Baking powder
Cream of tartar
Vanilla and extracts
Food coloring
Frosting tips

Keeping baking items organized makes it easy to grab my baking supplies with one hand and mix up something from scratch just like that.

  3. Well!
I used to do that. Now... I do have everything in close proximity and it works...but, I wonder, Why did I quit using a basket?
    I love this idea!

  4. .. I don't do much baking these days Elaine.... but I do have these supplies in a basket in my cupboard for when my grandkids or my brother come and want to cook...
I also have a designated party cupboard with cake boards, candles and cake toppers like Happy Birthday, Happy Easter.. etc and balloons.....always have balloons.....

  5. That is the most brilliant thing I've heard of in a long time. The cupboards where the baking soda/powder are kept are so hard to get into...I think that you are on to something there.
