My love of all things chicken is no secret. In fact I want a few of my own but my hubby has other thoughts on that matter. I long to go collect fresh eggs and watch the chickens peck around my yard. In our city you can have three on a city lot. My daughter's friends have several and sent me these darling little eggs one day. We made the cutest little wee fried eggs with them.
For now I have to settle for chicks in other forms. Picked up these clearance pillows when I ordered my curtains but can't seem to find a home for them. Too busy I fear on the red couch.
I just have fake chickens and display their fake eggs. Though this guy is a rooster I'm thinking.
This guy looks like he wants to be free peeking out the window.
You have a very nice chicken collection. Maybe your hubby will give in sometime. They are fun to watch and the kids will love them.
ReplyDeleteWoW...I was telling Mr D just this morning that I wanted to call the city and see if I could have a few chickens in the back yard...I feel the same way, I love to hear them cackle and watch them scratch away looking for something good. A few fresh eggs is just the bonus! Maybe Mr D will build a small coop beside our shed....
ReplyDeleteI love your chicken collection! I just love chickens too! We have 6 hens, and they are so fun - and nothing beats fresh eggs! :) Have a lovely weekend!
ReplyDeletelovely having fresh eggs,, such a lovely collection of chickens,,much easier to care for than the real thing,,, beleive me!!
ReplyDeleteI do fear most of your chickens are roosters, but it is a mighty fine collection. I think I love the thought of having chickens...does that make sense? I did have chickens growing up, but I didn't have to take care of them.
ReplyDeleteLove your chicks and roosters. They are fabulous and your vignettes are gorgeous. Hugs, Marty
ReplyDeleteGreat vignettes! Love the crate.
ReplyDeleteI love chickens too!! I also hope to have some one day. Following you. Love all of the farm stuff too!!
ReplyDeleteI too like chickens and used to have some hens...I have been thinking about getting them again. They are so much fun to watch and have in the garden.
ReplyDeleteWhat fun to see all your eggs and chickens. You know a rooster is a chicken. ;-) There are plenty around here for sure! ~ Sarah
ReplyDeleteAwww...keep working on him. My hubby never had a desire to have them either, and he is enjoying them almost as much as I am!!!
ReplyDeleteYour photos are great!
ReplyDeleteI love chook ornaments and you have a very nice collection :-)
We are also hoping to get some chickens in a few months time.
My hubby wasn't interested until very recently so don't give up hope yet!
Blessings..Trish
Love your Chicks! You have been very creative with your loves! Like them a lot!
ReplyDeleteWe have chickens roaming around the old house yard, they are not ours. We are in the city limits and very near the city square. They have a bunch of chicks every spring and I love to see them. They also fly and that is kind of scary. I love the blue pillow and would find a place for it.
