Summer Schedule

Is this even possible? Can you have a summer schedule? The kids are out of school and life is carefree yet I find myself making up a schedule for the summer days. I want to get a few things done and I know if I just let the days slip by, I will look back on my more free months regretfully having not accomplished my summer goals.

So here goes.

Mondays-Standing Play date with my 3 year old's friend and mom.
Tuesday- Piano lessons in morning for two kids here at home so outdoor time for little one.
Afternoon for errands and deal shopping.
Wednesday-Painting for at least two hours. Kids will occupy little one so I can get this done. Dinner is at MIL's house so I won't have to worry about this.
Thursday-Activity for older ones with their friends. Most likely the beach, swimming, movies. Things where we can all do it together or I can drop off as I will have my youngest.
Friday-Either more painting or another project I want to work on in morning and then grocery shopping.
Saturday-Mop floors. I always do this on Sat. when dad is around or working. Free time after that.
Sunday- Church and relaxing followed by a BBQ. We always BBQ on Sundays.

Can you tell I have a lot of painting to get done around here? That is why I am going to schedule it in so it is a priority or you know how that goes. Of course this is all a loose plan for the summer and we will be gone here and there but I feel better knowing I have something down to keep me on track.

  1. Love the sunflowers. Come see some beautiful vases.

  2. I always have a schedule...and I don't even have kids at home anymore!! I'm just weird like that!

  3. Sounds like a good plan to stay organized and on track.
With renovating this old house and farm, I have a running list of things that we would like to get done, and need to get done. Most days, I work from that list. It's slow going, but it sure feels good to cross something off that list :)
Love the sunflowers, and you rooster lamp.... too cute!
    Enjoy this day !!

  4. This is the best time to get those jobs around the house that are just waiting for attention :)

Thank you for sharing such lovely pictures...

  5. Elaine, you are organized. I need a list like this so I can one day get wallpaper off the wall. At the non-rate of removal that is happening now we are looking at the year 2014 for having a master bedroom.

  6. The first picture of bright yellow sunflowers is so pretty....looks like you have a full week....I need to paint also, just haven't been in the mood to get into it...
    Enjoy whatever you do.

  7. What are you painting, Elaine? Colors? I am being a nosy nellie, aren't I?

  8. Painting sounds interesting - I love to see how a new colour changes things!
Your schedule seems like a good mix of fun and chores :-)
    Wonderful photos!
