Homemade pizza dough.
The temps cooled so much today I knew it was time for the Friday Night Pizza season to begin. Except for summer, we love to make homemade pizzas on Friday nights. Our kids love them, love to make them, love to have their friends help make them. You get the picture. Something about taking some yummy dough and adding gooey cheese and fun toppings is just addicting.
The Western Holly was fired up and I wasn't even breaking a sweat. Oh yes! Fall is surely on its way. Add a salad and dinner is complete.
I am not kidding about the pizza. If you make they will come. I may start in the kitchen alone but if they find I am rolling out pizza dough, the kids start wandering in. Quinn saw a pineapple on the counter and wanted that on her pizza.
My recipe for homemade pizza dough.
We do the same thing here. Friday nights are the best! :)
ReplyDeleteHomemade pizza is the best. I make mine in my cast iron skillet. My husband always wants pineapple on his too. Enjoy your weekend!
ReplyDeleteIt was Friday Night Pizza Night here too - I even included a yummy pizza recipe on my blog :) Have a lovely weekend!

That looks so good. WE love making homemade pizza's and personalizing them. We call them pizzettes. Have a good weekend.
ReplyDeleteI love homemade pizza, too. I need to learn how to make the dough gluten-free for me. My dr. put me on a gluten-free diet, and the one thing I miss most is pizza! Tell Princess Q I love pineapple on my pizza, too.
ReplyDeleteLove pizza...Friday Night Pizza sounds like so much fun for a family gathering..!
ReplyDeleteThey look yummy. Pizza and soups.......love it when it's cooler so you can turn the oven on. Love your ovens.
ReplyDeleteYum! My son is the same way...if any cooking is going on, he's right there.
ReplyDeleteSounds like a wonderful family tradition! Laura Cottage and Broome
ReplyDeleteStill too hot here, but once it cools down, I am totally stealing your Friday night tradition. Love that! What do you use for pizza dough? We buy ours from Trader Joe's, but I'm not very good at rolling it out. I want to be like those pizza dough tosser people (I have no idea what their real job title is). Does anyone in your family do that?
ReplyDeleteOh - love the fall decor too! We're in birthday mode, but fall will come out very soon.
I love those traditions.
ReplyDeleteIn the fall we do pizza fridays and soup sundays. Makes meal planning a bit easier.
