A family favorite for dinner is fresh from the oven Calzones. I make my own dough and it is simple. I use the dough hook on my mixer and in a few minutes you have dough ready to rise. This dough recipe is perfect for pizza too. The recipe is from allrecipes.com and you can find it here.
Above is the dough after rising for an hour.
Fresh from the oven.
This night we had sausage, pepper and cheese.

Those look delicious. Around here, we like to dip them in ranch dressing,or marinara sauce. What a great idea for dinner.

We love calzones, and it's great way for me to get spinach or other greens into my 5 kids without anyone noticing or complaining.
ReplyDeleteI usually cook mine for 20 minutes, but mine don't look as brown as yours. I'm going to have to try cooking them for longer and see if my family likes them better.
Mmm...dinner looks delicious! We love calzones too at my house!
