City chickens. Raising chickens in the city.
I have decided my chickens are sleek city girls and they know it. They only choose the prettiest flowers pots for resting and hopping into.
They also sit upon their favorite bench in a color coordinated pattern.
Miss Puffy Cheeks has decided her former name of Henrietta is too farm girl for her and she prefers Miss Puffy Cheeks only. I say farm girl names are best!
This model is bored with her photograph being taken and is falling asleep in the job.
I love the one where they are sitting on the bench talking around one another. Made me smile today
ReplyDeleteblessings.
I love fashionable chicks who line up in patterns. Tres chic!
ReplyDeleteI think I am in LOVE with your chicks! What about roosters? Did you wind up with any and I missed it?
ReplyDeleteThese girls are having a fabulous life! and I think they know it!

Those girls seem to be living the "life" even for chickens :)
ReplyDeletewell I think your city girls are very classy, no hay seeds in that bunch, Park Avenue all the way!
ReplyDeleteSuch varied personalities they have . . .
ReplyDeleteI'd love some hens, but sadly space doesn't allow. Yours are gorgeous :o)
ReplyDeleteI think you've taken to the chickens quite well! You are having the most fun with them. Me? I'm ready to put ours in the freezer... so I can get to tending my larger chickens and bonding with them more.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your babies!

I never expected to fall in love with chickens. They are adorable.
ReplyDeleteThe girls are looking pretty prissy! since you mentioned it! :D
ReplyDeleteI love your chickens! We took my two year old grand nephew with us to "help" decorate graves Memorial Day. We stopped at a small town gas station that has a resident chicken and rooster. He'd never seen chickens before and was quite thrilled with them.
ReplyDeleteYour city chickens are great! Miss Puffy Cheeks cracks me up. They've got to be so much fun!
ReplyDeleteYour girls have the cute'st names!!
ReplyDeleteI so want chickens but the HOA will
not let me have them..

What a great flock of characters you have! Very pretty!
ReplyDeleteThey are the cutest little things...
ReplyDeleteDo you have to worry about any other animals at night? Or are they quite safe in the hen house?
I really am thinking about chickens, just don't know what the neighbours would think, or if the raccoons would bother them.

You're living one of my dreams. I SO want to have some chickens! I think they're so beautiful, and they've obviously got alot of personality too!
ReplyDeleteA hen party on the fence, and obviously with lots to talk about.
ReplyDeleteI guess an afternoon nap sounds like a good idea to them too!
They are beautiful. It occurs to me that our Bob has a chicken who lays eggs and I need to send you a pic of her as she is enormous. He rescued her. She fell off a truck that was on the way to a slaughter house.
ReplyDeleteYep- I guess they are city slickers for sure. LOL..they are soooo cute. xo Diana
ReplyDeleteLove the first photo, Elaine. It is classic! They don't hurt your garden, though, do they?
ReplyDeleteLol! I love Miss Puffy Cheeks! I have a Mr. Puffy for her! Very handsome.
ReplyDeleteHi Elaine,

Sooo cute!! I just got 4 little girls myself!! It's so much fun watching them grow up! Mine are 5 weeks old already!! I'm still keeping them in their run, because I'm afraid a hawk will swoop down and get them, plus I'm still bringing them in at night to their cozy brooder! You could say they are a little spoiled!! Enjoy your sweet girls!
ReplyDeleteSuch camera lovers! These are such good photos..and the subjects seem quite comfortable in their city surroundings.
